Midpoint Reflection

My Internship has been the same as my expectation. I thought that we would fix Macs and etc. and that is exactly what we are doing. There is absolutely the same culture in Brooklyn International as in IHSL, because both school are for immigrant students. I have learned how to solve troubleshooting in Macs, this might help me in the future. I believe I have a good relationship with my mentor and all the coworkers. We are having fun there, but at the same time our top priority is to finish everything as fast as possible. Now a days I feel more comfortable interacting with professional adults. During the past few weeks I faced many different challenges but there was nothing major that I could not overcome. I have few more weeks of internship left, I will try to learn as much as I can during these remaining weeks.

Four weeks into internship

PART 1

The full name of my internship site is Brooklyn International Tech Squad. I don't really have an job title, I fix computers, add software's and etc. kind of like a computer technician. My site provides students with computer and it makes sure that computers are always in working condition. Three task that I regularly do at my site are check Macs for software updates, fix all kinds of troubleshooting's, and fix anything that is broken from technology. The three qualities that I noticed about my mentor are that he is funny, serious, and helpful. He is very helpful because when ever I don't know how to do something he is always there to explain everything. I really enjoy finding out about new things that I never knew about or the things that I had problems solving or fixing. I think the most challenging part of my internship is learning new things that I never knew, for example how to fix a printer.

PART 2

My site is located in Downtown Brooklyn. I leave the school at approximately 11:30 am. It takes me about an hour to get to my internship. I arrive home approximately at 6 pm. I do not have a precise schedule, everyday there is something different to do. The people that signs my time card is Alex(mentor) but sometimes his helpers to it for him, when Alex is absent.
